Insightin Health Welcomes Jorge Miranda
Jorge Miranda recently joined Insightin Health as the company’s Chief Commercial Officer, bringing with him more than 20 years of healthcare experience in provider and payer markets. Miranda’s demonstrated history in applying information technology and services within innovative markets made him a clear choice to lead the company’s growth initiatives.
Miranda received his BBA in Management and MIS from the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business. In his new role, he will be handling sales, marketing, business development, and strategic planning while serving as a collaborative partner for Insightin Health clients.
“I am very excited to have Jorge leading our overall growth strategy,” shared Enam Noor, Founder & CEO of Insightin Health. “His relevant industry experience demonstrates our continued commitment to collaboration and growth with our clients.”
Prior to joining the Insightin team, Jorge gained his earliest healthcare technology experience with WebMD, helping to revolutionize the intersection of healthcare and digital information. This was an interesting time for healthcare, Jorge recalls, as the company had to work hard to build trust and show why having digital healthcare resources could be so valuable.
“In my experience, trust comes down to knowledge,” reveals Jorge. “When you’re able to transfer your knowledge to help someone else see a product fit or how you portray your confidence in the industry, then your customer becomes more confident with the solution.”
Jorge left WebMD to work for a small company (which would later be acquired by IBM) to try his hand at growing and developing companies. Joining a team of just seven employees, Jorge grew the company to more than 180 employees as they sought to move away from single physician sales and venture into enterprise sales. The company would later be bought to help form the Watson Health division, and Jorge consequently moved to IBM.
According to Jorge, the acquisition served as a critical starting block for using artificial intelligence and technology to encourage patient engagement. “We saw the need to be able to engage the patient and physician to move the needle on population health. If you can’t engage them effectively, you can’t improve outcomes. It’s harder to get patients to take their medications, schedule well visits, or do preventative care without overwhelming the physician.”
Focusing on the engagement factor has prepared Jorge for his role at Insightin Health. Insightin Health customers have achieved excellent outcomes to date including:
- 41% increase in engagement for those completing HRA
- 75% increase in engagement and 40% improvement in gap closure
- Reduction in time to completion on Annual Enrollment from 14 days to 3 days
- 180% achievement in member retention against the business objective
Jorge is looking forward to collaborating with customers to supercharge results in the name of better health. “With Insightin Health, we help our customers create a more personalized experience to generate higher engagement for the member. We partner with our customers, and use data to determine the Next Best Action for a member across the various touchpoints in the experience. Using data allows the inGAGE platform to know who the member is, how they want to be communicated with, and be able to treat the member like a consumer and know what they really need. Do these things, and engagement will follow.”
